About the Collaborators
Creating and producing Green Card Stories has truly been a collaborative process, starting about 15 years ago as a dream of Laura Danielson’s, solidified through the expert guidance of Stephen Yale-Loehr, brought into focus by photographer Ariana Lindquist, and given voice by writer Saundra Amrhein.
ARIANA LINDQUIST is a documentary photographer based in Minneapolis, Minnesota and China. Her honors include first place awards from World Press Photo and NPPA: Best of Photojournalism, as well as a Fulbright to China. Her work is published by Time, The New York Times, and Atlantic Monthly, among others.

SAUNDRA AMRHEIN has been a journalist for seventeen years, including ten years at the St. Petersburg Times in Florida, where she reported on government and general news with a special focus on immigration issues. She currently is completing a master’s degree in Latin American and Caribbean Studies.

STEPHEN YALE-LOEHR is a preeminent authority on U.S. immigration and asylum law and teaches as an adjunct professor at Cornell University Law School. He is the co-author of Immigration Law and Procedure, a twenty-one-volume treatise on U.S. immigration law, and is of counsel at Miller Mayer LLP in Ithaca, NY.

LAURA DANIELSON is a partner at the law firm of Fredrikson and Bryon in Minneapolis. She teaches as an adjunct professor at the University of Minnesota Law School and is co-author of Immigration Law and Procedure in a Nutshell.
